A proven approach, delivered differently.
AN01 is an inhaled dual PDE3/4 inhibitor therapy in development for COPD, designed for convenience and efficacy.
The Impact of COPD
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is one of the most common serious lung diseases in the world (affecting more than 400 million people1) and the third leading cause of death worldwide2. It is often associated with smoking, though not always.
COPD affects breathing in two important ways. The airways narrow, so less air moves through. And they stay inflamed, which keeps them narrow and drives the damage forward. Most people with COPD live with both airway narrowing and inflammation at once.
Open and calm.
In one therapy.
AN01 inhibits two enzymes at the same time: PDE3 and PDE4.
Inhibiting PDE3 relaxes the muscle around the airways, so they open up and air moves more freely. Inhibiting PDE4 reduces the release of inflammatory proteins that keep the airways irritated and narrowed.
One relieves airflow limitations. The other addresses the underlying inflammation. A single inhaled therapy does both.

Straight to the lungs.
Taken orally, drugs against these targets circulate through the whole body and can affect other organs.
Inhaled delivery puts the therapy where the disease is and limits exposure to the rest of the body.

Delivered in seconds, not minutes.
AN01 is being developed as a dry powder inhaler. It is handheld. It needs no machine or electrical outlet. You breathe in, and you are done.
Physicians consistently say the same thing about this difference: people stick with a treatment that takes seconds to use. And a portable therapy that travels in a pocket can reach patients earlier in their disease – people who are working, active, and independent, and who would not build a life around a nebulizer.
Late-stage, and moving.
AN01 has been studied across hundreds of subjects across Phase 1, 2a, 2b, and 3 trials in conjunction with our partner Haisco Pharmaceutical Group. Haisco has begun multiple registrational Phase 3 studies in China this year.
AirNexis licensed AN01 from Haisco and holds development rights outside China. We are preparing to launch a global study soon.
AN01 is also known as HSK39004. They are the same compound. Haisco developed HSK39004 and is advancing it in China. AirNexis holds development rights everywhere outside China.
